Kara turns 2

Where has the time gone? We can't believe that Kara is 2! She ran around all of December telling us she is turning 2 (when we asked how old she is turning) and that is birthday is in Jauawy (January). We had a great birthday celebration with her as a family on Wednesday, her actual birthday, and then on Friday night with Grammy, Papa, Uncle David & Aunt Marikate. Kara requested that we go to Cici's pizza for dinner...we did not! On her actual birthday we spent as a family, opening gifts and eating an oven pizza. Then on Friday, since she LOVES the water we went swimming at the Y, then took off to Fort Worth to celebrate with everyone else for more pizza at Mellow Mushroom. They sang her happy birthday, which she was not a fan of, however she was a fan of the free cookie they brought out! She didn't tell us, but I know she had a great birthday celebration :)

She has really grown and is in the 95% for her height and 85% for her weight. She has finally decided to start talking so she is really starting to talk our ear off. McKenna is probably best at interpreting what she is saying. There are many times where I will turn and ask McKenna what she is saying and 95% of the time she is dead on! Kara LOVES to read and will bring you stacks of books, climb in your lap and ask you to read them, then when you are done, she gets them takes them back to her room and brings more. She is very into Dora and Tinkerbell but will pretty much do whatever big sister wants to do/is into! The girls put on weekly dance recitals for us and when Kara puts on her tap shoes her and sissy (what she calls McKenna) put on a show for us. She is EXCELLENT at her manners and very rarely forgets to use her thank you, please, and I'm sorry's. She has started to tell us often "I yuv you mommy, daddy, sissy, etc." Now amongst all the sweet things she has a different side! She loves to throw her tantrums or cry when she wants to do something at a store and she is not allowed, loves to pull her sisters hair or hit for no reason at all. But she is quick to say I'm sorry, sit in time out.....and then do it again!!!! This is a faze and I know it will pass in time. We still can't believe she is 2, our baby is 2! We love her so and can't imagine our lives without our little Karabear, KB, K-bug!
