Where is the time going

I can't believe June is almost over, where is the time going?!
Today is Father's Day and the girls did a great job of sleeping in (meaning they slept until 6:45) for us, so that was a great start to the day. We then headed off to church, then lunch and came back to hang out in the yard and bbq some chicken. Both girls didn't really sleep all that much today so that made for a VERY long evening for us. They were both cranky, didn't want to take baths, listen, go to sleep, etc. However it is now 7:15 and McKenna is out like a light and well Kara, she is still allergic to sleep and fights going to bed. She will scream and scream in her crib, they you walk in there and she instantly stops crying and starts to smile, what a little stinker huh?! Maybe in a couple months she will become a good sleeper again. So, now that the day is almost over, Aaron is finally able to sit down in peace and quiet and watch the US Open.
This past weekend Kara was baptized and it was wonderful! Her Godparents, Doug and Erin, were able to come into town with their son Kelson to help and be present in such an awesome time in Kara's life. Kara looked gorgeous and didn't cry one bit throughout the whole mass. She smiled when Father Alex presented her to the congregation as the newest member and then promptly fell asleep in her Godmother, Erin, arms. McKenna fell asleep in our good friend Stephanie's arms so we had no crying, talking, or fussing girls throughout the whole mass, we could get used to that!!! We had a small get together at our house for Kara after mass and we had a great time with friends and got some beautiful pictures of Kara in her gown, taken by Erin.

The day before, Saturday, we all took off to Wrightsville beach to take some family pictures and play in the water. We had a crazy time getting there and finding parking, getting the kids out and keeping them somewhat happy to get some pretty pictures, all while trying to not die of heat stroke in jeans. However, we did get some pretty pictures and then we all had a great time at the beach. Kara slept the ENTIRE time we were there (maybe I need to get a sounds of the ocean CD and play it when she is going to bed) and McKenna played and played and played.

The girls and I are taking off for 4th of July weekend to visit mom in Ashville, NC. She is there for a conference and decided to stay a couple days after to visit. McKenna as already requested that Grandma bring her swimming suit and her songs (mom sings her song on the phone often) while we visit. I am pretty sure she can make that happen!
We hope you all have a wonderful Father's day and that your Summer/2010 is not going by as quickly as ours seems to be going. There are some more awesome pics that Erin took on the right tabs and then some just everyday pics as well.
Hope you enjoy
Aaron, Ryan and the girls
