Summer Happening

So much has happened over the Summer but just haven't found the time or energy to write it all down and upload the pics...until tonight!
Let's start with July-
We started off our July in Ashville NC with mom and had an AWESOME time. We went to Black Mountain, Montreat, Ashville, Hendersonville (not great!) and just drove around the area looking at everything. It was such a fun time just having no plans, no commitments, no schedule at all. McKenna loved going to Montreat, where mom was at a conference, and listening to all the instruments being played around the lake as well as a concert we went to the first night we were there. She also loved seeing and feeding the swans that were there as well. And oh, the butterflies. This girl can catch butterflies, we have never seen anything like it before, but she actually caught multiple butterflies. We were sad for our trip to come to an end but we had more in store for us at home. When we got back home Uncle Oscar, cousin Annika and GG were waiting for us. We went berry picking, the baseball game, brew tour, shopping, golfing, farmers market, etc. McKenna also loved it b/c Annika played barbies and story time (her new favorite thing) whenever she wanted! Then, just as their trip was ending Grandpa Joe came to visit. We had a great time with him as well, fishing, golfing, and just relaxing. It was a fun July but VERY tiring.
August-
August has brought 1 big physical change for McKenna, she got her hair cut! It was getting WAY to long and WAY to tangled, so we decided it was finally time to chop it off. I was a little worried that she would cry and put up a fight, but she didn't cry or fuss at all. When the lady called her name she marched up to the chair and sat while her hair was being cut. After that she smiled at the camera and then got her bubble surprise from the "hair cut lady" (McKenna calls her).
It is so much easier to manage and the best of all, no more fights!
Aaron has really enjoyed taking McKenna fishing lately so he takes her on Saturday's and catches "big fish". Kara and I just tote along and take the pictures of her "big fish". Nothing more to report in August, there are no trips planned or visitors to be had, so we are just enjoying the last part of summer and last couple months before Aaron starts the outage.

Kara update:
She is doing great and has become a nice little night sleeper. She usually sleeps from about 6:30 to 5:45 and has just recently (like 4 days now) started pushing her wake up time to 6:15-6:30. I will take it if she continues to sleep through the night. She still hates sleeping during the day and only take a couple cat naps here and there but oh well she is still cute and happy and I will take that any day of the week! She is really doing well with her food and is not picky at all with what she eats but she will go from 0 to hungry in the blink of an eye. If you don't have her food ready to go when she decides she is hungry, watch out. She will scream like you have just hurt her and she will not stop until you get some sort of food in her mouth. She loves munching on cheerios and has really mastered picking them up by herself. She manages to get about 75-80% of the cheerios in her mouth too, so that is good. She is doing well with her cups and loves to drink water and then spit it out all over her. She finds this somewhat funny, I don't get it! I am starting to get convinced that she is not going to crawl b/c she is not really a fan of crawling, but standing and trying to walk around. She is not strong enough just yet to stand and walk, but she is always wanting to pull herself up and stand to look around. Who knows, we will see in time. I am just enjoying the fact that she is not too mobile just yet, so life hasn't gotten crazy just yet. She is such a happy go lucky baby and smiles ALL THE TIME. It makes it very nice on days where it is just crazy and not a good day, we are able to look over at her and she is right there smiling away. She loves her big sister and the two talk and play together often.

That's all from the Moreno house, hope everyone else is having a great end to the summer.
